Laurie Pohutsky is an American politician serving as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives for the 17th district. A member of the Democratic Party, she was first elected in 2018 to represent the 19th district and later elected to the 17th district in 2022. She served as Speaker pro tempore of the Michigan House from 2023 to 2024. Pohutsky earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Michigan State University and previously worked in food safety and health care.
