Len "L.D." Hagaman

Len Hagaman is a native of Watauga County and a military veteran. He graduated from Watauga High School before earning degrees from Wingate University and Appalachian State University. His career in law enforcement includes serving as a Watauga County Sheriff's Deputy and holding various roles within the Boone Police Department, such as Patrol Officer, Juvenile Officer, and Major/Police Administrator. Hagaman has also served as the Town Manager of Boone and as a Watauga County Commissioner. Additionally, he has experience as a certified Law Enforcement instructor for several community colleges and has taught Public Administration and Political Science courses at Appalachian State University. He has served as the Watauga County Sheriff for multiple terms.
