Lenny Pfeffer

George L. “Lenny” Pfeffer, Jr., a Republican, is the President of the Dorchester County Council, representing District 4. First elected to the council in December 2018, he was chosen as its president in December 2022. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Pfeffer is a retired lieutenant from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, where he served for 24 years as a firefighter and emergency medical technician. His public service extends to numerous boards, including the Board of Health and the Local Emergency Planning Committee for Dorchester County. He is also active in community organizations such as the Red Cross and the Sons of the American Legion.
