Linda Alderman Widmyer is a non-partisan candidate for the Allegany County Board of Education in Maryland. A resident of Cumberland, she has served as an appointed member of the local school board since January 2025, when she was selected by the Allegany County Board of Commissioners to fill a sudden vacancy. Before her appointment, Widmyer ran for a seat on the board during the 2022 election cycle. Outside of her involvement in public education, she brings experience in state government as a legislative aide for Maryland State Senator Mike McKay. She has held this role since 2023, following her prior tenure on his staff in the House of Delegates.
