Steven Jay Moon is a non-partisan candidate for the Board of Education in Allegany County, Maryland. Born and raised in Allegany County to a family of educators, he values the local school system. He earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Frostburg State University and worked as a university lecturer, gaining firsthand insight into student challenges. Currently, Moon works as a software engineer. His campaign platform focuses on supporting teachers, modernizing school facilities, implementing rigorous community-led safety protocols, and ensuring all students have pathways to meaningful careers locally.
