Linda "LR" Roberts is a labor and community activist running for the California State Senate to represent District 8. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from California State University, Sacramento. Roberts has a long history of union activism, having served as a steward, bargaining council member, and chapter president for two locals of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). A longtime member of the Peace and Freedom Party, she has previously served as its Sacramento County Chair.
