Lisa Hathaway is the incumbent board member for Ward 4. She is a former special education teacher at Lexington Senior High School. She resigned from her teaching position to pursue a Master's degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and is currently pursuing her doctorate. Hathaway has three children in the school system and is a parent of a child with special needs. She was appointed to the school board two years ago to fill a vacancy. She currently works at The Oaks Therapeutic Community, a Christ-centered counseling and wellness community. She resides in Lexington, North Carolina.
