Lisa Parshley is a veterinary oncologist, small business owner, and Democratic politician representing Washington's 22nd district, Position 2, in the House of Representatives. She assumed office in January 2025, succeeding Jessica Bateman, and is running for re-election in 2026. Previously, Parshley served on the Olympia City Council from 2018 to 2024. A proponent of universal healthcare, she introduced The Washington Health Trust as HB.1445 and serves on the state's Universal Health Care Commission. As a veterinarian, she has also advocated for animal welfare, authoring a bill to ban foie gras production by force-feeding.
