Jose Luis 'Lou' Correa is an American businessman and politician serving as the U.S. Representative for California's 46th congressional district since 2017 [1.8]. A member of the Democratic Party, Correa previously represented the 34th district in the California State Senate from 2006 to 2014. He also served on the Orange County Board of Supervisors and was a member of the California State Assembly. Before entering politics, he worked as a banker, real estate broker, and college instructor.
