Lee would remove cultural and language barriers so Norfolk County's immigrant community trusts law enforcement and feels safe reporting crimes, and would educate immigrants about their rights as a safeguard against unconstitutional ICE actions.

  • Law Enforcement & First Responders

    Supports

As Norfolk County DA, Lee would create a Conviction Integrity Unit to review every case involving investigators Michael Proctor and Sean Goode for evidence of personal bias, and would overhaul the office's culture of law enforcement so that personal biases 'have no place in public safety,' holding law enforcement accountable for misconduct.

Creating a Conviction Integrity Unit whose sole purpose is to review convictions for civil rights violations. This unit's first order of business will be to review every case that involved Michael Proctor and Sean Goode ... Overhauling the current and longstanding culture of law enforcement by sending a clear message that personal biases have no place in public safety.
