Mae Peshlakai

Mae Peshlakai is an incumbent Democratic State Representative for Arizona's House District 6, having served since 2023. A Navajo weaver, silversmith, and politician from Cameron, Arizona, she co-founded a fine arts studio and boasts nearly three decades in local politics. Peshlakai, who grew up on the Navajo Nation and is a boarding school survivor, prioritizes education, healthcare, infrastructure, and veterans' issues. She chairs the Indigenous People's Caucus and sits on military and public safety committees. She is seeking re-election in 2026 in a unique joint bid with her daughter, aiming for a Democratic-led Legislature.
