Mahasin El Amin

Mahasin El Amin serves as the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George's County, a significant public office she has held since her initial election as a Democrat in November 2018. The voters of the county demonstrated their continued confidence by re-electing her for a second four-year term in November 2022. A lifelong resident of Prince George's County, her career is built upon a solid educational foundation, which includes a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Before her election as Clerk, El Amin cultivated a diverse legal career, serving as a law clerk in the Circuit Court, an attorney for Maryland Legal Aid, and an associate at the Law Offices of Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr., P.A. She also has a history of leadership in the legal community as a past president of the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association.
