Makeda Scott

Makeda Scott is a Democratic candidate running for Baltimore County Council in District 3. A community leader and former Chair of the Baltimore County Board of Education, she has a background in public service and advocacy. Scott has previously worked with AFSCME and served on the Maryland Transportation Commission. Her campaign focuses on people-powered government, participating in Baltimore County's public campaign financing program. She is an alumna of Emerge Maryland and the Campaign School at Yale. Scott is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Her experience includes advocating for equitable resources and community organizing.
