Marc Knapp is a Democratic judge and politician serving on the Orphans' Court for Anne Arundel County, Maryland. First elected to the probate court in November 2022, Knapp previously had a forty-year career in banking, finance, and management consulting before retiring. He earned a bachelor's degree from Brown University in 1966, an MBA from Columbia University in 1968, and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore in 2014, gaining admission to the Maryland Bar in 2015. In December 2024, Knapp was indicted on wiretap and misconduct charges for allegedly recording judicial deliberations without the consent of his colleagues, prompting disciplinary hearings.
