Marlon D. Amprey is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Legislative District 40 in Baltimore City. He assumed office on January 13, 2021, following an appointment to fill a vacancy. A Baltimore native, Amprey's professional background includes working as an educator in both Maryland and Washington, D.C., as well as practicing as an attorney. He earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, a Master of Education from George Mason University, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. In the legislature, he has served on the Environment and Transportation Committee and currently sits on the Economic Matters Committee. He is also a member of both the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland and the Maryland Legislative Latino Caucus.
