Matthew Aicher is the current Vice President of the North Polk School Board of Directors and is seeking re-election for a second term. He has been a police officer for over 17 years, with 15 of those years serving the City of Polk City, including seven as a K9 handler. He and his wife, Nicole, have lived in the North Polk community since 2011 and have two children in the district. Aicher has received the Better Boardsmanship Award from the Iowa Association of School Boards for three consecutive years and has participated in a national curriculum summit to enhance his leadership skills. He has also received the Individual Achievement Award from the Iowa Association of School Boards.
