Matthew J. Schindler

Matthew J. Schindler is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, where he represents District 2B in Washington County. His term began on January 7, 2025. A native of Hagerstown, Schindler's educational background includes graduating from North Hagerstown High School and Hagerstown Community College before earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Networks and Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland. Professionally, he has built a career in the technology field and currently holds the position of IT and Cyber Security Manager for the National Capital Bank of Washington. Prior to his state-level service, he was a member of the Hagerstown City Council from 2023 to 2024. His community involvement also includes appointments to the Hagerstown Planning Commission and the Hagerstown Ethics Commission.
