Michael Bellis, a dedicated Democratic organizer, was elected to the Saint Mary's County Democratic Central Committee in 2022 and unanimously chosen as its Chair in March 2026. His focus as Chair is on registering voters and organizing for the upcoming elections. Bellis is also the Director of Advancement & Communications for Historic St. Mary's City. His extensive community involvement includes serving as Chair for the Housing Authority of St. Mary's County and on the board of the Maryland Legal Services Corporation, following an appointment by Governor Wes Moore in 2023. He is a graduate of Leadership Southern Maryland.
