Michael Kubiniec

Michael Kubiniec is a retired U.S. Navy Captain who was elected to the Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education in December 2022. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and served for 12 years on active duty on three nuclear-powered submarines. After leaving active duty in 1995, he continued in the Navy Reserve, commanding four units and retiring as a Captain after over 30 years of service. He also earned a Master of Science in Planning and Strategy from National Defense University. In his civilian career, Kubiniec has worked for high-technology companies in semiconductor manufacturing and fiber optics, leading organizations in global manufacturing, product management, and quality assurance.
