Michael 'Mike' Roger Minogue is a Massachusetts Republican businessman and combat veteran running for Governor in 2026. Raised in an Irish Catholic family, he graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1989 (B.S., Engineering Management) and served as a U.S. Army infantry officer, earning the Ranger tab and a Bronze Star as a platoon leader/navigator during the 24th Infantry's invasion of Iraq in Operation Desert Storm (1991). He later worked at GE Healthcare before serving nearly 19 years as Chairman, President and CEO of Danvers, MA-based medical device company Abiomed, Inc., where he oversaw development of the Impella heart pump; Abiomed was acquired by Johnson & Johnson for $17 billion in 2022. He has served on the board of Insulet Corp. since 2017 and chaired the medical device trade group AdvaMed (2021-2023). He founded the veterans-focused nonprofit MedTechVets (2012) and, with his wife Renee, the Michael & Renee Minogue Foundation (2015). He lives in Hamilton, Massachusetts, with his wife and five children.
