Michelle Bennett is a seasoned law enforcement officer with an Ed.D. in Criminal Justice. She served with the King County Sheriff's Office for over 30 years, retiring as a Major, and later held roles including interim Chief of Police for the City of Edmonds and currently as interim Chief of Police for Mercer Island. She also teaches criminal justice at Bellevue College. Bennett has been an active leader in law enforcement associations and advisory committees, including as President of the King County Chiefs' Association. She is running for State Representative to be a voice for and protect Washington's 5th Legislative District.
