Michelle Woodfork has over 35 years of experience in law enforcement. She made history as the first female Interim Superintendent of the New Orleans Police Department, serving from December 2022 to October 2023. Her career began as an Orleans Parish Sheriff's Deputy before she joined the NOPD. After retiring from the NOPD, she was appointed Director of Forensics and Intelligence for the Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office. She holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Criminal Justice from Southern University at New Orleans.
