Mike King

Mike King is an incumbent Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing District 74, having assumed office in January 2025. He is seeking re-election in the Republican primary on August 4, 2026. Prior to his legislative service, King held the position of Kansas Secretary of Transportation from 2012 to 2016. His professional background includes over two decades as the owner of King Enterprise Group, a central Kansas construction company. He is an alumnus of John Brown University, where he earned a degree in building construction in 1981, and is originally from Hesston, Kansas. He continues to serve the state, recently involved in proposing constitutional amendments.
