Mike Lewis, a Republican, serves as the Sheriff of Wicomico County, Maryland, a position he has held since his election in 2006. Before becoming Sheriff, he had a distinguished 22-year career with the Maryland State Police, retiring with the rank of Sergeant. Known for his expertise in drug interdiction, Lewis is a certified instructor through the Maryland Police Training Commission. He is a graduate of Wicomico High School and has spent his entire law enforcement career serving the citizens of his home county and the state of Maryland.
