Mike McCoy is a Clive City Councilman and the Chief Executive Officer of Metro Waste Authority (MWA), a position he has held since 2016. His work at MWA involves overseeing operations at multiple facilities and focusing on responsible waste management, recycling, and environmental services for communities in central Iowa. He is a former volunteer firefighter and holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master of Science in International Development from Iowa State University. McCoy and his wife, Lisa, have two children and are residents of Clive. He serves on several boards, including DART and the Des Moines Metropolitan Wastewater Reclamation Authority (WRA).
