She earned a bachelor's degree in public affairs and political science from Indiana University Fort Wayne. Meehan serves as the Chairwoman of the Allen County Democratic Party and the 3rd Congressional District Democrats. She previously ran for the Fort Wayne City Council in 2019. Meehan is a 2026 Democratic candidate for the Indiana House of Representatives for District 84.
