Dr. Mohammad Alam is a U.S. Army veteran of the Iraq and Afghan wars who has served in various Democratic Party leadership roles, including as a DNC Asian Caucus Chair. He holds a Ph.D. and a J.D., and has professional experience as a CEO. He is the founder of the Islamic Dawah Foundation of North America and serves as an interfaith imam. Alam has run for several public offices, including U.S. Congress and the Michigan State House, and is currently running for the Michigan State Senate.
