Mohamoud Hassan is a small business owner, husband, and father who has lived in Minneapolis for 30 years. He has served as the Executive Director of the Somali Family Life Center, where he designed afterschool programs. He has also been involved in community advocacy, including protecting immigrants through a network of lawyers. In 2016, he ran for Minnesota State Senate in District 62. He previously co-hosted and produced the "Somali Voices" program on KFAI-FM radio.
