Molly Coleman is the winner of the Ward 4 special election and the current council member. She was born and raised in St. Paul, attended St. Paul Public Schools, and graduated from Saint Paul Central High School. After attending college and law school out-of-state and working in public schools in New York City, she returned to St. Paul. In 2018, she co-founded the People's Parity Project, a national legal advocacy organization focused on building a legal system that works for working people. She is the daughter of former St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman and the granddaughter of former State Senate Majority Leader Nick Coleman.
