Monica Rodriguez is an American politician serving as the Los Angeles City Councilmember for the 7th District since 2017. Prior to her election, Rodriguez served as Vice President of the Los Angeles Board of Public Works, where she overhauled the city's contracting website and started a small-business academy. She previously worked as a Community Affairs Manager for Mayor Richard Riordan and as an aide to Councilmembers Mike Hernandez and Richard Alarcon. She is a graduate of Occidental College.
