Morris Michael Haik III

Morris Michael Haik III, known as Michael or Mike Haik, is the District Attorney for Louisiana's 16th Judicial District. He was sworn into office on March 17, 2025, after the passing of his predecessor, M. Bofill Duhè, for whom he served as First Assistant District Attorney. Haik, a New Iberia native, earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from Louisiana State University. He has experience in both the District Attorney's office and in private practice with his father. He qualified for the election without opposition.
