Nathan M. Berning is an independent, anti-abortion candidate for Hawaii's 1st Congressional District. He co-founded and served as CEO of Let Them Live, a Fort Wayne, Indiana-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides financial support, counseling, and coaching to women in crisis pregnancies so they can choose to keep their babies; the organization reports it has helped more than 1,000 women cancel abortions. Before founding Let Them Live in 2019, he worked on Dr. Ben Carson's digital team in the 2016 presidential campaign and later as a field representative and regional field coordinator for the Leadership Institute. He lists a Flagler Beach, Florida address as his residence.
