Nicole Macri is an incumbent State Representative for Washington's 43rd legislative district, first elected in 2016 and assuming office in January 2017. A Democrat, she is seeking re-election for District 43-Position 1 in the primary scheduled for August 4, 2026. Macri champions progressive causes, focusing on affordable housing, homelessness, and expanding mental health care, as well as fully funding schools and closing the opportunity gap. She serves as Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Committee and is a member of the Healthcare and Wellness Committee. Outside the legislature, she is the Deputy Director for the Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC) in Seattle, a role she has held since 2002. Macri holds an MPA from the University of Washington and lives in Seattle with her partner.
