Nicolette Ocheltree

Nicolette Ocheltree, a Democratic candidate, is seeking election to the Washington House of Representatives for District 6, Position 1, in the 2026 primary election. Based in Spokane, she currently serves as a legislative assistant for a City Council member. Ocheltree previously held the role of Manager of Housing and Homelessness Initiatives for the City of Spokane. Known as a liberal activist, she has advocated for inclusivity and equality, and has been associated with Planned Parenthood. She previously ran for Spokane Mayor as a write-in candidate on a platform of inclusivity and equality. Her past activism included strong criticisms of current City Council member Jonathan Bingle, describing his political agenda as "evil" and an "attempt to overthrow our local government," before she later joined his staff.
