Patrick Johnson is a Republican candidate running for the Alabama House of Representatives District 8 in the May 19, 2026 primary. A lifelong Morgan County resident, he grew up on and continues to operate a family farm. He earned degrees in history and biology from The University of North Alabama in 1999. Johnson owns a small business in Decatur and has served as chairman of the Decatur-Morgan Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Decatur Kiwanis Club, also receiving a community service award from his alma mater. Endorsed by the Alabama Farmers Federation, he is running for the open seat, aiming to bring his understanding of business, agriculture, and conservative values to Montgomery.
