Johnson owns a small business in Decatur and has served as chairman of the Decatur-Morgan Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Decatur Kiwanis Club, also receiving a community service award from his alma mater. Endorsed by the Alabama Farmers Federation, he is running for the open seat, aiming to bring his understanding of business, agriculture, and conservative values to Montgomery.
