Patrick Taylor is a candidate for Town of Highlands Mayor General Election in 2025 in Highlands, North Carolina. Running as Nonpartisan.

Patrick Taylor has served as the Mayor of Highlands since 2013. Before entering public service, he had a 24-year career as a university professor and administrator, including serving as the founding chair of the Department of Visual Arts at Kennesaw State University. He also taught at Piedmont College. Taylor served in the US Army from 1970 to 1973 and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal and Army Commendation Medal. He holds a PhD in Art from the University of Georgia. For ten years, he served as a North Carolina Magistrate for Highlands. He is also the owner and operator of Taylor Pottery.
