Patrick Roath is a lawyer, democracy advocate, and Boston resident running for U.S. Congress in Massachusetts' 8th District. He was raised in Connecticut, came to the Boston area to attend Tufts University, and later earned a law degree from Columbia University. He served as a Fulbright cultural ambassador in Malaysia, interned in the Obama-Biden White House, worked as an aide to Governor Deval Patrick, chaired the board of Common Cause Massachusetts, and spent a decade as a commercial civil litigator with a voting-rights pro bono practice. He lives in Jamaica Plain with his spouse Vicky and their daughter.
