Paul Nelson, a Republican, is running for the Colorado House of Representatives to represent District 36 in the primary election on June 30, 2026. A Michigan native and U.S. Coast Guard veteran, he holds degrees from Taylor University and served as a teacher and administrator before his work with Wycliffe Bible Translators. He previously led Missionary Internship and was the Executive Director of The Crowell Trust. Currently a Resource Consultant for nonprofit initiatives in Colorado Springs, he serves on numerous non-profit boards focused on areas like Bible translation, social welfare, philanthropy, and Christian education.
