Rachel R. Jones is a Democratic candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates, seeking to represent Legislative District 27B. She has prior experience in this role, having served the same district from February 18, 2021, to January 11, 2023, after being appointed by Governor Larry Hogan to fill a vacancy. Before her tenure in the state legislature, Jones gained federal-level experience as a field representative for both U.S. Senator Barbara A. Mikulski and U.S. Senator Ben Cardin. An alumna of Morgan State University, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in government and political science. Her commitment to public service extends to her community involvement, which includes serving on the board of Farming 4 Hunger and being a member of the Concerned Black Women of Calvert County.
