Rebecca White

Rebecca "Becca" White is a lifelong Vermonter who grew up in the village of Wilder in Hartford and now lives in White River Junction. She graduated from Hartford High School (2011) and earned a BA in history with a minor in speech and debate from the University of Vermont (2015). At age 20 she was elected to the Hartford Selectboard and served two terms before winning election to the Vermont House in 2018, where she served four years on the House Transportation Committee. She was elected to the Vermont Senate for the Windsor District in 2022 and took office in January 2023, serving as Assistant Majority Leader (Whip) of the Senate Democratic caucus, vice chair of the Senate Transportation Committee, and co-chair of the Climate Solutions Caucus. Her professional background includes community organizing at the solar company SunCommon, community engagement work at Efficiency Vermont, and work at the Upper Valley Food Coop.
