Reuben B. Collins, II, is a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Maryland's 5th Congressional District. A lifelong resident of Charles County, he is a graduate of Fisk University and the District of Columbia School of Law. For over two decades, Collins practiced law, focusing on corporate and small business transactions. His public service career spans more than 30 years and includes multiple terms as a Charles County Commissioner. In 2018, Collins became the first African American elected President of the Charles County Board of Commissioners and was re-elected to the position in 2022. He and his wife, Debborah, are the parents of three children.
