Rita L. Watson

Rita L. Watson is the Republican Register of Wills for Garrett County, Maryland. She was appointed to the position on July 1, 2009, by the Garrett County Orphans' Court. This appointment followed a distinguished 30-year career as the Chief Deputy Register of Wills, where she served under the retiring Register, Joseph DiSimone. A native of Garrett County and a graduate of Southern Garrett High School, Watson maintains active professional memberships with the Maryland Register of Wills Association and as an associate member of the Judges of the Orphans' Court Association. She is also involved with local political groups, including the Southern Garrett Republican's Club and the Garrett County Republican Women's Club.
