Robert English (also known as Bob) is a New Jersey activist who was a Democratic candidate for U.S. Representative in New Jersey's 4th Congressional District in the 2026 primary, challenging Republican incumbent Chris Smith. He was best known for protesting outside Smith's office in a chicken costume. English withdrew before the June 2, 2026 primary and did not appear on the ballot. In Ballotpedia's Candidate Connection survey, he advocated for Medicare for All, reversing the concentration of wealth, and opposing President Trump's foreign policy.
