Robert Zapple has served on the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners since 2014. He is a licensed General Contractor and the owner of Rob Zapple Design and Build Inc. He and his wife, Michele, are also co-owners of Carolina Gymnastics Academy. Zapple graduated from the University of Virginia and has lived in New Hanover County for over 22 years. He has three children who all attended New Hanover County public schools. His community involvement includes serving on the boards of Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts, WHQR 91.3 FM Public Media, and the Children's Museum of Wilmington.
