Roberto Longoria is an incumbent judge for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California, a position he has held since his appointment in 2011 by Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. His current term is set to end on January 4, 2027. Prior to his judicial appointment, he worked as a sole practitioner from 2006 to 2011. His earlier career was in public defense, serving as a senior trial lawyer in the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office (1994–2006) and as a trial attorney in the Orange County Public Defender's Office (1992–1994). He began his legal career at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles in 1990. Longoria earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and his J.D. from Loyola Law School.
