S. I. "Sandy" Rosenberg

S. I. "Sandy" Rosenberg is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 41 in Baltimore City since 1983. He is a graduate of Amherst College and Columbia University Law School. His notable legislative accomplishments include authoring the law that codified the principles of Roe v. Wade into Maryland statute, the repeal of the death penalty, and the extension of the state's civil rights law to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation. Rosenberg has also sponsored legislation concerning lead paint abatement and welfare reform. In addition to his public service, he has served as a law school faculty member at the University of Baltimore and the University of Maryland.
