Safaan K. Ahmed was appointed as a Judge to the Los Angeles County Superior Court by Governor Gavin Newsom on December 13, 2024. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law. As a prosecutor, he spent nearly a decade handling sex crimes. As a judge, he currently presides over juvenile dependency cases.
