Sam Newhouse

Sam Newhouse is a 32-year-old community organizer running as a Democratic candidate for the Frederick County Council At-Large seat in Maryland. A resident of New Market, Newhouse became known as an early organizer of the local data center referendum movement. He actively served as a member of the nonpartisan Frederick County Data Center Referendum Committee, working to collect signatures. He stepped down from his committee position in February 2026 to officially file for his County Council race.
