Sandra Carlson is the incumbent council member for Ward 1, having served since 2014. Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, she moved to Kalispell in 1986. She holds a B.A. in Social Sciences from Hamline University. For the past 18 years, she has worked as an Account Manager and Blood Drive Coordinator for the American Red Cross. Carlson is also an active member of the Kalispell Daybreak Rotary Club, which she joined in 2003, and has served as its president.
