She has owned and operated her own real estate company in Eastern North Carolina for over two decades. Prior to that, she worked for a local real estate developer in an accounting role for 17 years, and she holds an associate degree in accounting. Russ is a member of Cornerstone Independent Baptist Church, where she has served in various positions.
